Hello to all! My name is Francesca Santelli and Catholic Campus Ministry’s Communications Coordinator for the 2020-2021 school year! I am a junior studying organizational communications with minors in business management and Catholic studies.
I wanted to tell you all about the opportunity and blessing that I get to be a part of each day. I get to create content here on The Torch Project and send out emails inviting students from all over the university to come and join us on all the amazing events that our teams within CCM put together. I am the outlet that speaks with all of the student leaders as to how I can promote and spread the word about their events. From Communal Prayer, Cafecito con Tepeyac, Sunday Night Mass. I work closely with Victor Mora, our Graphic Design Coordinator, and we to make our weekly bulletin for Sunday Night Mass come to life and go out weekly! We have so much fun doing it and love to read all sorts of fun facts, gospel reflections, and so much more from our peers.
I love this “job” – I put job in quotes because I genuinely love my work. I have the opportunity to read about others’ life experiences, read about their different prayers techniques, and what gets them excited about our faith. It genuinely brings me such joy.
My dad has said to me in the past, “If you love what you are doing you will never work a day in your life” and I wholeheartedly agree with that. I am looking forward to reading so many more creations from not only students but the staff and faculty of the university.
Please reach out to me if you have any questions about how to write for The Torch Project, get on our email list, or anything at all that is on your heart! FSANTELL@DEPAUL.EDU
