Senior Reflections with Wyatt Hettel

Hi! My name is Wyatt Hettel, and I am will be graduating from DePaul this spring. I am a history major with a Catholic studies minor. Many of my Catholic studies classes have been some of my favorite classes that I have taken while at DePaul.

During my time here, it has been a blessing to be involved with CCM. It has allowed me to meet many people and form relationships that I would not have otherwise. CCM events have given me the opportunity to engage in fun activities while doing so in a community of believers.

During my time at DePaul, I have been on the e-board of DePaul Euchre Club and have had a blast putting on our weekly meetings. After graduation, I plan on being at DePaul for one year of graduate school to obtain my Master of Education degree. Afterwards, I plan on teaching social studies at the high school level.

One of my goals for the future is to continue to live out my Catholic faith in a way that strengthens my relationship with God, while also introducing people to the love of Christ through the way in which I live. My advice for freshmen would be to search for a balance between academic work and fun. Be open to new experiences while in college because you never know what inspiration or wisdom they will provide you with.
